Sample Exclusive Buyer Representation Agreement

An exclusive buyer representation agreement commits you to working with the agent you signed the agreement with, for the length of time stated in the agreement. It also gives my commitment to working with you, and providing the services agreed to in the contract while protecting you through out the process. Residential real estate, property management, and mortgage brokerage licensees MUST enter a Written Service Agreement (WSA) with consumers when entering a client relationship. Written service agreements help ensure consumers understand the role of the licensee, and when clients are better informed, there is less confusion and typically, fewer disputes. Written service agreements help licensees clearly and confidently communicate with clients about: the relationship between the parties; the services to be provided by the brokerage; the obligations and responsibilities of the parties; consent for collection, use and distribution of personal information of the client; method of calculation of remuneration or how the licensee will be compensated; and, consent to obtain a credit report (for mortgage brokerage licensees). Establishing a written service agreement with consumers also offers benefits and protections to the licensees by reducing the chances of a dispute or dissatisfaction on the part of the client, because the client has a written record of the roles and responsibilities of all parties to the agreement.

Real Estate Lawyers we have worked with before.

Hiring a real estate lawyer is essential if you want to avoid mistakes and ensure a smooth transaction when buying, selling, building, or refinancing a property in Alberta. Purchasing a home is often the biggest investment in many people’s lives. They are here to ensure you are protected and informed every step of the way. What is a Real Property Report? How do I transfer a land title into my name once I buy a home? How do I pay my real estate agent? What is Title Insurance? What is Joint Tenancy? What is a Certificate of Compliance? These are only some of the questions we typically hear from people when they are choosing to buy, sell, build or refinance a property. When you choose a real estate lawyer, you need to make sure your representative is there for you and will explain the process, so you understand exactly what you’re obligated to do.
