The On the Job Training Program of PHP Aerospace Technics is designed to reinforce the knowledge and skills students learned from school through actual aircraft maintenance operation. It is a three-month program composed of 1 month theoretical and 2 months practical training.

OJT PROGRAM - CESSNA 172 (450 HOURS)

PHP Aerospace Technics goal is to develop the knowledge and skills of the participants on the operation, servicing, line maintenance and related maintenance checks on the Cessna 172 including the whole aircraft system and the following:

 

*Be able to understand the Safety Policy and Objectives, SMS responsibility, Risk Management, Safety promotion. 

 

*Knowledge and skills of the participants to service, and check the Radio, Electrical, Instruments, and related Avionics Systems of the aircraft.


*Familiar with Servicing features and requirements so that they may be able to satisfactorily understand all routine tasks needed to safely dispatch the airplane for flight. 


*To develop the knowledge and skills of the participants on all ramp safety rules and regulations as well as be able to safely and satisfactorily marshal an arriving or departing airplane from the ramp.

 

*To be able to understand the maintenance process including task performance, maintenance manuals and task scheduling. 

 

*Be familiarized on the latest Philippine Civil Air Regulations and Guidelines. Enabling participants to be familiarized on PCAR Part 1-19 and relevance of Maintenance Procedures and Maintenance Control Manual.

 

*Be able to understand the Human Factor principles, limitation, factors affecting human performance, error management and Situational Awareness.

PARTICIPANTS

Individual who are graduates and students of a two-year course aircraft technicians, aircraft mechanic, or aviation specialist course with or wothout work experience in aircraft maintenance.


Individual who are graduates and students of a Four-year course aircraft technicians, Aircraft mechanic, Aircraft Specialist or Aeronautical Engineering Course with or without work experience in aircraft maintenance.

MODE OF INSTRUCTION

Classroom instructions on the initial courses, aircraft and engine systems description will be given. This is to be accomplished with the aid of projection transparencies and/or photograph of systems functional diagrams, schematics drawings, wirings and component location diagrams and fluid flow diagrams.


On-the-job training and actual demonstration of servicing the airplane tires, fuel tanks, hydraulic reservoirs, engine oil tanks, flight controls, lubrication and other systems required for flight dispatch.


Highlights of the performance of functional checks that will ensure aircraft and systems serviceability, airplane safety and airworthiness will be discussed.

REFERENCES AND TRAINING MATERIALS

One (1) set of Training Handbook with Electronic Training Manual will be given to each participant. The training manual contains aircraft and engine system schematic, functional and location diagrams. Block diagrams and simplified wiring diagrams are also included so that the participants will be able to easily visualize and understand the operation and schematic flow of various systems. Copies of airplane work and maintenance check sheets, functional test procedures and appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual pages shall also be distributed when necessary for instructional purposes.

DURATION

On the Job Training – 450 Hours will have the following duration:

 

20 days theoretical / lecture for indoctrination and basic courses.

40 days hands on and practical experience on the aircraft.

 

Schedules may vary depending on the operation requirements of the company and flight schedules. Other terms and conditions will be discussed during the orientation.

TRAINING CYCLE

*20 days theoretical / lecture for indoctrination and basic courses.


*40 days hands on and practical experience on the aircraft, rotating in different department consisting 20 days MAINTENANCE IN SUBIC, 7 days in Clark REPAIR HUB/ GSE, 3 days in AMDC, 7 days in TOOL ROOM/ STORES, and 3 days in OCC.
