Chris Wang is an American Born Chinese and former Intelligence Analyst from 2011 to 2020 who was wrongly profiled for his innocent passion for Chinese martial arts. In this video, he describes his experience with racism within the FBI's Post Adjudication Risk Management (PARM) plan. Under PARM, Chris Wang was held back from progressing in his career and endured relentless harassment from security officers where he was under constant suspicion of cooperating with foreign intelligence officers. All of these suspicions were unfounded but were a result of racist prejudice and bias against Chris's ethnicity and his passion for Chinese martial arts. Please hear his story here. Follow along as Chris shares his story of harassment while serving at the FBI.

Chris' PARM notification

On December 2011, on the first day of reporting to the FBI Los Angeles Field Office, Chris Wang was issued this letter from FBI Security Division, notifying him that he was placed under the PARM program. Please note the letter states that being placed under PARM is not an adverse action and yet, they are subjected to more frequent security interviews, polygraphs, and database checks than their non-PARM peers. This clearly indicates PARM employees are less trusted, treated with more suspicion, and placed under higher scrutiny.
