Because this is new construction the earnest money of $5000 will be provided with the acceptance of the purchase agreement, per your contract.

An appraisal is an unbiased professional opinion of your home's value and is used whenever a mortgage is involved. The appraisal will be done once the home nears completion. Once we have the report back from the appraiser, they will let us know if it's cleared to move forward.

We will do a blue tape walk through of the homee a week or two prior to closing and will have the opportunity to mark defects with blue tape. There are many reasons why something could be marked with tape during the walkthrough, but the most common callouts are small cosmetic flaws, including scuffs on a wall, chipped paint or cracks in tile. More serious issues identified during a blue tape walkthrough are incorrect installations or missing outlets. Once the house has been inspected and everything is marked, the builders will agree to fix each issue. The builders and buyer may also discuss other matters of business such as home warranties and final expectations. A day or so before closing, we will do a final walkthrough to make sure all items have been completed.

You will meet to sign all the paperwork transferring the property to your ownership. You will need your Driver's License for closing.
