Home Buying Guide

Our Home Buyers Guide walks you through each step of the home-buying process. This guide serves as a resource for our clients from start to finish.

Why should you get pre-approved, first?

Shopping for a home without a pre-approval is equivalent to window shopping. The biggest mistake buyers make is starting to shop for a home before fully understanding their budget. Don't make that mistake!

What is "Option Period"?

During the Option Period you have the 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 to either to continue with your purchase or "𝘰𝘱𝘵 out" ✌️Here’s some advice: Try to get your home inspection done within the first couple of days of your option period, so you have enough time to research repair costs and negotiate with the seller.

What is "Earnest Money"?

Earnest money is money in “good faith” ⁣ • Earnest money is due within 3 days after the effective date of the contract. ⁣ • It’s typically 1% of the sale price and is held at the Title company until the deal is complete. ⁣ • If the buyers make it to the closing table, there can expect their earnest money to be applied/ credited TOWARDS to their down payment or closing costs.⁣
